This picture of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward was taken years ago. It appeared to be part of an American fashion shoot and I always loved it. For me, it epitomized the Hollywood married couple who kissed on an empty bed with the male star in full suit and tie!
It was Hollywood meets Madison Avenue. Today, very “MADMEN”.
Well there were apparently others who loved the shot of Newman and Woodward atop a white sheet.
To my surprise, one of the photos from the shoot has been used to create the poster for the upcoming 2013 Cannes Film Festival.
While Paul is gone, his cinema star will be shining bright at the La Croisette up to the Rue d’Antibes this May.
There’s nothing like movie love to bring a crowd.
