In honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, I put together this minute mash-up.
This is from the “Think Different” campaign that Apple launched in 1997 which was overseen by Steve Jobs and the Chiat Day ad agency. This was the original scratch track for the “Here’s to the Crazy Ones” television spot. The voice in this minute mash-up is Steve Jobs; his voice was later replaced by actor, Richard Dreyfuss, for the national campaign.
The images are from archives and newsreel footage from the life and times of Martin Luther King Jr. For me, Martin Luther King Jr. Day is one of my favorite holidays for it celebrates the accomplishments of a single man who accomplished his mission in the midst of great adversity. America has produced many great leaders but Martin Luther King Jr.along with President Abraham Lincoln are two of the most memorable.
